About Mel
There is no such thing as a boring story—there are only boring writers.
Even the driest subject can become interesting with the right words and the right insight. It just takes a little imagination and creativity.
After a long stint in ad agencies as a copywriter and creative consultant, and working as a creative producer, in-house creative director, and more, I consider myself a highly qualified generalist. But I do have one common thread—I love words. I love carefully selecting the right combination of them to shape ideas that change culture and inspire action. I love how they can create meaning, feeling, and emotion from a once-empty page. And I especially love sharing and collaborating on them with others.

I offer all kinds of services with words as the base. I usually do that from Halifax, Nova Scotia, but I’ve worked with clients from all over the world.
I've been called lots of things, but boring has never been one of them. I like to ask why. I like to solve complex problems. And most of all, I like to tell and share stories with people and organizations who like to get shit done.
